Stop the Clickbait

This is an example of a right wing clickbait headline (in the press release): “AMERICA FIRST LEGAL SUES NATIONAL ARCHIVES FOR ILLEGALLY CONCEALING FEDERAL RECORDS RELATED TO THE BIDEN FAMILY CORRUPTION SCANDAL.”

All they need to do is file an appeal.

The U.S. National Archives and Records Administration did not deny the request for records. They denied an EXPEDITED request for 30,000 records for very specific reasons.

The requestor needs to make a compelling case which is responsive to the objection cited.

If they make that case and then get a non-satisfactory response that defies law, regulation, policy, etc., then there is something to talk about.

The facts need to stand on their own.

Exaggeration isn’t helpful.

In fact it diminishes credibility.
