Breaking free of the cult

A telltale sign of a bad actor is that they cut you off from your family, friends, and personally held beliefs. They make you question yourself. They put you down as worthless. It doesn’t start out that way of course.

At the beginning it’s all nice talk and attention. But eventually they show their true colors, and when they do, they turn everything around and say only they care, only they can save you, just follow along.

And if you try to exercise your independence mentally and break free physically, unfortunately the abuser or crime gang never forgets.

The dynamics of abuse are consistent across every exploitive situation—child abuse, domestic violence, cults, gangs, white collar crime, all of it.

We as a Nation are being buffeted about by manipulative, abusive people on all ends of the ideological spectrum.

That’s why the most important thing an average person can do is to exercise kindness toward others and respect for one’s own critical faculties.

The cult depends on isolation, fear and hate of an “enemy.”

Breaking the power of the cult requires rationality, inclusivity, and connection.
